WORKWEAR
PCL were contacted by the production department of Rolls Royce Motor Cars to develop and improve their range of workwear worn by the production team. There was requirement for a range of garments featuring concealed fastenings to protect paintwork and which were suitable to be worn in Clean Room environment. Additionally, certain fabrics can interfere with the highly technical equipment used during the production process and all had to be rigorously tested before being approved for supply.
Following successful wearer trials the new range, which included bespoke cotton polo shirts with a concealed placket, lambswool v-neck jumpers, bespoke poly/cotton work trousers and warehouse coats, fleece jackets and outdoor jackets was launched.
Garments are stored at PCL’s premises near Tring just north of London and called off on a weekly basis. Prior to despatch, polo shirts, jumpers and jackets are personalised with the individual wearer's name and manpacked for ease of distribution.
DEALER UNIFORM
Following the success of the workwear, PCL were assigned to develop an exclusive range of male and female uniform to be made available for the Rolls Royce International Dealer Network to order directly online via the PCL portal. The range included Dealer Jackets, Soft Shell Jackets, Cotton-rich Oxford Shirts and Blouses, bespoke Silk Ties, fine-gauge V-neck Knitwear and Cotton Polo Shirts.
Orders are despatched worldwide within a week of receipt using DHL and a report providing details of all orders received is produced and forwarded to Rolls Royce Head Office on a monthly basis.
The whole ordering process was organised and put in place by PCL on behalf of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars with no need for any financial outlay for development costs or stockholding from Rolls-Royce. PCL deals directly and receives payment from each individual dealer, minimising the input needed from head office.
The whole order processing system runs very smoothly and the dealers are now wearing a quality, standardised uniform worldwide.
