Artwork Guidelines

BRANDING – ACHIEVING THE HIGHEST QUALITY REPRODUCTION OF YOUR LOGO, DESIGN OR IMAGE

PCL promise to provide only the highest quality reproduction of each logo and design we work with, using the latest technology and techniques. The results we are able to achieve relate directly to the quality of the artwork from which they originate. It is therefore important that we are supplied with the correct artwork files.

ARTWORK FILE GUIDELINES

Files should be vectorised (line-drawn) or high resolution, minimum 300 dpi. Ideal formats are .eps, .ai or PDF. It may be possible to use some lower quality files, e.g. .jpg, .jpeg, .png depending on the design itself and reproduction desired. The image below is a good example to show the difference in quality when zoomed in to a vector and bitmap image.

We provide an excellent artwork service if you do not have the correct artwork or a high-quality file. This service is quoted on an individual basis, depending on the requirement, with a minimum charge of £25.00 ex VAT. So, it’s not a problem if you need a logo or design developed!

YOUR APPROVAL OF EACH DESIGN

We always send your logo or design to you for sign off before application to any garment in the following formats:

EMBROIDERY – Sampled on a fabric swatch, a photo of which is emailed or hard copy by post in some cases.

TRANSFERS, SCREEN PRINTS, WOVEN LABELS. TAX TABS  – Digital emailed proof.

COPYRIGHT

PCL take copyright law extremely seriously. It is the responsibility of each customer to ensure they have the correct permissions to use any requested logo, image or design. We may request proof of this from time to time.
