One of our suiting manufacturers, Skopes, has now brought out a range in red. The Contourflex range which was recently launched is tailored using a unique knitted fabric with a much higher degree of stretch than traditional woven fabrics. The range includes dresses, jackets, skirts, trousers and waistcoats. A men's tailored fit suit has also been developed to complement Contourflex in matching colours. We are very excited to announce that our Managing Director Jane Campbell is in the final for SME Buckinghamshire and MK awards - Business Woman of the Year. The final takes place on Thursday 14th February at the Doubletree Hilton in Milton Keynes. Jane is delighted to be in the final as this year marks PCL Corporatewear's 25th anniversary.

PCL took part in Save the Children's Christmas Jumper Day 2018 with a twist! Instead of wearing a Christmas jumper, each member of staff had their very own personalised top to wear. They were made using a glitter vinyl cut in the shape of a bauble using our Roland print and cut machine. Everyone brought in money to donate to the charity - Save the Children.
Our Managing Director was recently approached by Bucks Business First to see if we would be able to help with a film they were making for their AGM. The film was highlighting the Businesses and growth within Buckinghamshire. BBF has been very helpful with many aspects of our business and helped us to get a grant to buy our Roland print and cut printer through the Velocity grant. Matt (Commercial Director) and Jane (Managing Director) attended and exhibited at this years Great British Business Show in ExCel, London. The event that was held over 2 days was attended by around 25,000 businesses and is one of the longest running business exhibitions. The show was very busy and we had a lot of people visiting our stand and making enquiries about uniform and workwear. Since returning we have gained several new customers who have all placed orders.

Some of our sales team exhibited at MK Expo 2018 held at The Ridgeway Centre, Milton Keynes. The event was hosted by Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce and was attended by many businesses in the local area. Our team took the opportunity to talk to attendees and show what PCL Corporatewear is able to offer and the new garments and branding techniques we are using at present.

We are delighted to announce that we have been appointed as an official distributor of Chef Works, a leading manufacturer and distributor of chef clothing and uniforms for the hospitality industry. PCL were asked to partake in a radio quiz called 'War of the Works'. The quiz that airs every weekday at 10:30 am and 11:30 am on DJ Nathan Cooper's show on local radio station Mix 96. Two local businesses are asked 5 general knowledge questions each day and the winner is the team with the most correct over the whole week. The team at PCL really enjoying either taking part in the quiz or listening to it. The week ended in a tie which we were very happy with!
It was our second year exhibiting at Bucks Skills Show. The show is run by the Bucks Skills Hub, a local organisation that optimises the link between employers and educators to ensure young people are well prepared for life after education. The event was held at The Gateway in Aylesbury and attended by over 2,000 11-19 years from the local area. We enjoyed speaking to all the attendees about different job roles available at PCL and what they may like to do when they leave school or college. PCL were proud to support the event by supplying the T-shirts for the organisers and helpers to wear on the day.
Louise Baldwin, PCL's Executive Assistant, climbed Snowdon for Lymphoma Action. Louise is a survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma and wanted to mark her 3 year remission with this challenge. She had no idea at the same time she would raise so much money for the charity. She has smashed her original target of £500 and it is now well over £1200. Louise says "It was an amazing experience and I am overwhelmed with all the donations and support from my friends and family". If you would like to donate, here is the Just Giving link.
One of our customers, Coty UK Ltd who specialise in beauty products, asked us to provide the T-shirts for an event in London for Marc Jacob's new fragrance 'Daisy Love'. The T-shirts (pictured above) looked great at a Daisy Love pop-up at Somerset House in London. The pop-up was also filmed live on Coty's Instagram page so everyone got to see inside and people wearing the T-shirts.
PCL have now added over 200 videos to our products on our website. These are mainly catwalk videos that shows the viewer a 360 view of the garments and see what it looks like being worn in person. We hope that the new feature enables our customers to have a better idea of what they are purchasing and shows them the fit and length. The videos are located with the images of the product and we hope to add more across the different ranges.
After 3 years of being at our address in Pitstone, we are finally opening our doors everyone! We would like to invite anyone to come along on Friday 8th June between 10.30am and 4.30pm. We were delighted when Battersea Cats and Dogs Home asked us to continue supplying them with their uniform. Earlier this year the charity underwent a rebrand and came up with the new logo above. The animal charity has been renamed simply as Battersea.

When we heard our local secondary school needed coats, we knew we could help! Tring School in Hertfordshire. has created an 'outdoor classroom' to enable children to learn within the grounds of the school. The children work on many projects all year round so need to be appropriately dressed. The school felt they needed a supply of spare coats for when the weather cold or wet.
As we have a supply of spare jackets and coats, we removed all branding and sent them down to the school. They were delighted with them saying how much appreciated they were. We are happy that the coats and jackets have a new home and we get to help the local community.
We are delighted to announce we will be exhibiting at the British-Irish Airport Expo 2018. This will be our second year attending the show and hope to meet lots of new companies and businesses and see how we can help them and work with them in the future. The event is free to attend and is being held at London Olympia on 12 and 13 June.
We are very excited to be nominated for the Buckinghamshire Business First Awards. We are in the category of 'Small Business of the Year 2018'. The award ceremony is taking place on Tuesday 22nd May at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.
We are so pleased to be awarded runner up for The Small Business of the Year 2018 less than 50 employees. There were 7 other businesses in the category so it was tough competition. It was a great evening in Milton Keynes, meeting other businesses and seeing who won all the other categories. This award shows what a great team we have.
We have recently had some fantastic feedback through Google Reviews. It is a great way to see how happy our customers are once they have received their orders. Our team here at PCL make sure they keep all our customers updated with how their orders are progressing and also can advise on design and garments.

At the beginning of this year we moved across to our new website which meant a slight change for our webshop customers. The login area has changed slightly, but thankfully our customers found it easily and were able to carry on ordering uniforms quickly and efficiently.
Our customers' web shops, which are accessed using a secure password, feature images, description and agreed contract prices of their individual range of corporate clothing. These can be updated at any time and offer the facility to order, check out and pay by credit card or on account.
This service is completely free and an asset to any size business. Please contact us if you are interested in setting one up.
PCL have received a letter to say we have made it to the final of the SME Business Awards - Buckinghamshire. The category we entered was 'Small Business of the Year 2018'. The awards ceremony takes place in Milton Keynes in April. SME stands for – Small Medium Enterprise. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are businesses whose personnel numbers are 250 employees or less, with the abbreviation “SME” being used in the European Union. SMEs are also said to be responsible for driving innovation and competition in many economic sectors. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
One of our local coach companies came to us to help them put together a new uniform. They chose an embroidered soft shell jacket, white shirt and tie for their front line staff. They have recently had a promotional video made which we think showcases how smart and professional they look. It is very important to us to supply local family run businesses as well as the bigger names as we like to give a personal service to all our customers. You can watch the video here
Not only do we supply the uniform the the ZSL zoo staff in the UK, we also provide it for their conservation programme in Africa. As the climate is a lot warmer than it is in the UK, we have to pick out different fabrics and colours that with make sure the wearer is comfortable and able to carry out their work in their environment. As part of the new uniform being rolled out to all the Co-operative Food stores, our measuring team attended the Bourton-on-the-Water store earlier this year to get them all fitted and ready for their new uniform. This is a unique service we offer to larger companies when changing or updating their uniform to ensure the correct sizes are ordered and branded. We were asked to attend the Bucks Skills Show 2017 taking place in Aylesbury on Saturday 14th October. It is a careers fair showcasing over 60 businesses from across the county. The Bucks Skills Hub are working to get 14+ year olds more aware of the different careers available after they leave school. We took the single head embroidery machine to show the students what we do and talking about the different job roles we have at PCL. Our stand was very busy with students and parents both intrigued with the embroidery machine and what careers we have here at PCL. It was a very successful event and hope to be invited back next year. We provided the T-shirts for the day shown in the photo above.
This week has been very delicious at PCL HQ. As we have so many bakers, we spread the coffee morning over the whole week! We raised £100 and had a fun week raising money for such a great charity. Our lovely Georgia won 'Best Baker' with her delicious Millionaires Shortbread. Even the neighbouring offices were getting very jealous watching the cake being delivered every morning!
We have created a new apprenticeship vacancy within our sales and marketing department. It is a new role that will develop the apprentice's business knowledge and skills whilst studying the Business Administration course through Aylesbury College. Last month, the team at Millbrook were encouraged to partake in a MAD5K race. The route was over 70 acres of demanding terrain on Millbrook's very own off road course. They were raising money for Keech Hospice Care, a local charity to Millbrook that provides an excellent service to patients and their families. PCL were proud to sponsor and produce their team T-shirts.
PCL have been very lucky to have two lovely year 10 girls from a local secondary school with us for the past couple of weeks. Both girls did a fantastic job working in all the departments and learning all the different aspects of running a business. Hopefully they have gained a good insight into the business world and have a better understanding of what they want to do when they leave school. PCL met Oriens Aviation at the recent airport expo in Birmingham. They are an aviation company based in Kent, looking for a new uniform for their staff. Charlotte from Oriens sent this great photograph of them looking very smart with one of their planes. She said " I just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for helping out with the shirts so quickly and efficiently. They were a huge success and we were all really impressed with the quality."
On Friday 30th June, PCL attended the 2017 Buckinghamshire Business Awards. Our Managing Director, Jane was a finalist for the Business Leader category. Up against some stiff competition, it was a nervous wait to find out who had won. The team were ecstatic to hear Jane's name called and to be awarded a trophy by the sponsor Thomas International. Jane's comment on winning the award "I truly didn't expect to even be a finalist so am so thrilled to have won. A massive thanks to team PCL for nominating me, you are all the best!"
At the Airport Expo at the beginning of June we held a 'guess the amount of buttons in our jar' competition at our stand. We were very impressed with the time spent calculating by some of the entrants. The winners were Mark Cheetham and Nicola Marsh, who both won a magnum of champagne!
James Corden has been spotted on the Late Late Show wearing one of PCL Corporatewear's bespoke uniforms for Harrods. A feature in the show called 'Take a Break', James goes to Harrods in London, home of 5,000 employees - and gave a few of them a break, working various roles around the department store. The stand next door to ours - Luggage Point - took advantage of our on-site embroidery machinery and we added their logo to one of the team's polo shirts for him.
The whole PCL team got involved in our recent photoshoot with photographer Vanessa Champion. We shot all around the office and factory showing how garments are branded and demonstrating the services that we offer.

We always love to receive photos of branded garments we have supplied to our fantastic customers - especially 'in action' shots like the one Eqco Horse and Pet Wear sent us recently.
We worked with Eqco to supply branded soft shell jackets, polo-shirts, hoodies, lightweight waterproof jackets and more for their staff and sponsored riders. We also help Eqco with branding their bespoke horse horse rugs and dog coats.
We were absolutely thrilled to hear that our own Jane Campbell has been selected as a finalist in the Business Leader of the Year Award category of this year's Buckinghamshire Business Awards.
The awards first launched 11 years ago as the ‘Buckinghamshire Enterprise Awards’ to "honour the entrepreneurial spirit, vision, innovation and drive of our business community and celebrate ‘the best of the best’ across the whole business community." There are now 13 categories including Apprentice and Young Person Employer of the Year, Excellence in Customer Service and Best in District.

American Airlines have a new look in the form of their cleaning team, a service now supplied by OmniServ. PCL have provided their staff uniform, featuring a new image with contrast polo shirts in corporate colours with a functional soft shell jacket, perfect for this working environment. This new service and uniform was launched on 1st March 2017.
Mid-counties Co-operative are refurbishing all their stores with a complete new uniform supplied by PCL. Following extensive development work and wearer trials, Stourport was the second store to launch their newly designed staff uniform followed by Codsall.
